Acute Inpatient Complex Coder

Role Overview

• review and analyze medical documentation for inpatient cases
• assign ICD 10 CM diagnoses and ICD 10 PCS procedures
• ensures ethical and accurate coding compliance
• provides coding quality assurance for medical records

Requirements

• 3-5 years experience in Inpatient Facility Coding
• CCS, CPC, CCS-P, RHIT, or RHIA certification
• knowledge of coding guidelines and reimbursement systems
• ability to work remotely using office programs and coding software
