About this role
Role Overview
- Carry out routine maintenances, repairs and commissioning on LV and MV variable speed drives at customer sites across the UK.
- Assist in commissioning of new and upgraded drives.
- Provide routine technical maintenance in accordance with ABB’s bespoke maintenance schedules.
- Conduct fault finding and repair activities at customers’ sites.
- Participate on a 24/7 on-call system providing emergency response to ABB’s contract customers.
- Involvement in longer term projects delivering upgrades and new systems, which may be in the UK and potentially offshore.
Requirements
- Technical training or experience in Electrical Engineering.
- Industrial background.
- Highly motivated individual.
- Willingness to learn and progress both in the classroom and in the field.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Fault finding experience on electrical equipment.
- Previous experience working with Variable Speed Drives.
- Field Service Engineer Background.
- Full UK driving license required.
