Act as the point of contact for day-to-day Organic Social, accountable for output quality, consistency and performance across all brand social channels
Own social planning frameworks, calendars and workflows that underpin social delivery
Protect and elevate the brand image by overseeing posting and scheduling across platforms (with day-to-day execution owned by the Social Media Executive), quality checking content, captions, links, tagging, formats and timings to ensure accuracy and brand alignment
Champion and implement the social media strategy, ensuring all output adheres to Abbott Lyon’s tone of voice, brand aesthetic and values
Analyse social performance and apply insight to campaign reporting, trading conversations and ongoing optimisation of content and channel approach
Own social performance reporting across all platforms (supported by the Social Media Executive) delivering weekly and monthly reports and presenting clear, commercially relevant insight to the wider business
Ensure alignment with Product and Trading priorities across all planned and reactive content
Stay ahead of platform updates, algorithm changes and emerging trends, using performance insight to identify opportunities and continuously refine content direction, formats and cadence to drive engagement, growth and commercial effectiveness
Conduct regular competitor research to ensure Abbott Lyon’s social output remains ahead of the competitive set
Lead and own community-driven initiatives, including competitions, challenges, UGC activations and brand collaborations, to drive loyalty and advocacy
Own the end-to-end planning and delivery of BAU social-first shoots, leading native content ideation, briefs, shot lists, schedules and resourcing in close partnership with the Content Creator to deliver platform-native, product-led content that supports brand storytelling and commercial goals
Guide post-production priorities and approvals, maintaining pace while protecting quality, consistency and brand standards
Collaborate closely with the influencer team to brief and integrate talent, creator and UGC content strategically into the organic social ecosystem, ensuring alignment with platform trends, brand tone and performance objectives
Manage freelancers and external partners where required, ensuring clarity of briefs, timelines and deliverables
Line manage and develop the Social Media Executive and Content Creator, setting clear expectations, priorities and development plans
Protect brand reputation on social media by overseeing community management standards and working closely with the Customer Experience Specialist (Community Management) to monitor conversations and identify opportunities for proactive initiatives
Support the Head of Social in campaign delivery, BAU optimisation and platform expansion (e.g. YouTube, TikTok Shop)

Strong analytical skills with the ability not only to pull stats and create reports, but to provide context with supporting rationale for said stats, and to use this data to inform future content
Thorough working knowledge of Google Analytics required
Excellent attention to detail with a keen eye for grammatical errors and mistakes
An understanding of the integral role storytelling plays in a strong social media strategy
An excellent understanding of what does and doesn’t perform on social, and the evolving rules to meet algorithm best practices
Great copywriting skills with an understanding of social-first language
Experience within a social media management role with a track record of follower acquisition, and engagement improvement
Experience planning, shooting and editing social-first, iPhone shot content across still life, self-shooting, model shoots, and ‘behind the scenes’ assets (strong video editing skills required)
Experience in managing and coaching team members
A results-driven creative thinker who is passionate about developing new and engaging social ideas
Collaborative attitude with the ability to develop strong working relationships with key business departments and 3rd party brands
