About this role
Role Overview
- You will be a member of an agile engineering team, working on strategic projects including helping to build API-first services that form part of a new target architecture.
- You will have the opportunity to contribute towards building and scaling customer products and services, collaborating with other Engineering and Mobile, DevOps and Data teams.
- You'll engage with cutting edge technologies and utilize CI/CD pipelines built with Terraform and Kubernetes on GCP.
- You'll navigate complex challenges and drive development process improvements, working with your team to achieve common objectives.
Requirements
- Proven track record in backend or full-stack development
- Good knowledge of Scala
- Experience with the Typelevel stack (we use Cats, Cats-Effect, Http4s, FS2)
- Experience with Kafka or/and Event-based architecture
- Experience or interest in Infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- Experience using a cloud-native development approach with GCP or AWS
- Exposure to implementing and consuming APIs
- Proven experience in a fast-paced growth environment
- Passion for product and user experience, along with strong commercial thinking.
- Willing to own code from development to production
- Familiarity with Test Driven Development (TDD) is beneficial
- Fluent English speaker with excellent written and verbal communication skills
