Role Overview
- Investigate customer transactions representing increased risk for money laundering or terrorist financing
- Prepare clear and concise dispositions on daily alerts and reports
- Perform customer relationship reviews based on new account opening and higher risk attributes
- Prepare clear and concise reports detailing customer relationships and associated BSA/AML risk
- Assess the effectiveness of existing controls performed by UMBFS transfer agency
- Test to evaluate performance quality and document any gaps or deficiencies
- Confirm effectiveness of control environment across UMB FS operations
- Responsible for first level disposition of OFAC and 314a suspects from batch reporting
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree OR two years of industry relevant experience in previous operational, compliance, or fraud investigation roles
- Brokerage including investment advisor, mutual fund transfer agency, or alternative administration experience (Bonus Points)
- Knowledge of mutual funds and/or alternative investment funds (Bonus Points)
- AML surveillance system navigation experience (Bonus Points)
- Expert experience working with Microsoft Office suite (Bonus Points)
