About this role
Role Overview
Work with engineers across the business to propose, design, develop, integrate, and document detailed designs of large assemblies and sub-assemblies within the mechanical design department using CREO
Communicate with engineering team members and suppliers to design, model, and document the design technical data package (TDP) and its capabilities and compliance with configuration and drafting requirements
Support development, evaluation, and analysis of mechanical designs
Drawing generation, drawing release, and drawing change incorporation
Holding design reviews and resolving action items
Overseeing reworks and/or modification procedures
Supporting the production floor on a regular basis, collecting issues, providing status and participating in problem resolution
Utilize CREO CAD tool for modeling and documentation creation
Large Assembly Management and BOM Management
Requirements
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
Minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience
Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools, CREO with advanced modeling and drawing experience
Experience with any Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), tolerance analyses, drawing practices and interpretation (ASME Y-14.5)
Experience in CREO Parametric, CREO View and Model Based Definition (MBD)
Experience in PDM/Windchill.
Experience in multiple CAD Design Tools – SolidWorks/CREO/AutoCAD/CATIA
Solid understanding of configuration management practices
Experience with military/aerospace specifications and/or industry design standards.
