Role Overview
- Support electrical integration of new Data Processing and Display System with existing ADATS infrastructure, ensuring seamless interface and compliance with system specifications.
- Contribute to electrical system modifications for console upgrades and communications infrastructure, working with state-of-the-art equipment.
- Participate in system verification activities, including Site Acceptance Test electrical systems.
- Prepare technical documentation for electrical modifications and support configuration management activities.
- Collaborate with project teams and subcontractors to ensure successful implementation while maintaining operational excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering with a significant component of Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in electrical design and system modification.
- Advanced knowledge of electrical design and practical experience with electrical system changes.
- Demonstrated experience with electrical and data interface standards (RS232, RS422, USB, Ethernet).
- Strong understanding of AS3000 Wiring Rules and military standard electrical component selection.
- Desirable: Experience in defence projects within a Systems Engineering environment.
- Professional membership with Engineers Australia, IEE, or IEEE.
- Successful candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security clearance as needed.
