Payroll & Benefits Specialist

Role Overview

• Process payroll using Workforce Now for multiple payroll groups under a Shared Services model
• Administer benefits for client groups
• Maintain payroll records and address employee inquiries
• Work closely with HR and Finance teams to enhance payroll and benefits procedures
• Compile and submit payroll documentation and data on biweekly and semi-monthly cycles
• Process special payroll amounts and adjustments
• Prepare third-party payments and distribute T2200s annually for employment expenses
• Prepare and process workers compensation statements
• Prepare statistical and ad hoc reports for Accounting/Finance and HR
• Document payroll procedures and ensure appropriate internal controls and audits

Requirements

• 3+ years of payroll and benefit administration experience (Ontario, Manitoba, BC and Quebec)
• University or College diploma
• Certified Payroll Practitioner (PCP) is an asset
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now is required
• Experience with HRIS and time and attendance management systems an asset
• Experience using SuccessFactors an asset
