Self-Pay Collections Specialist

Role Overview

• Main concierge pertaining to Patient/Self Pay collections
• Help patients understand self-pay regulations
• Accurate communication and conflict resolution
• Handle patients without insurance and balances after insurance

Requirements

• Five to seven (5-7) years’ experience within a collection agency or healthcare system setting
• Experience with computerized billing software
• Interpreting Insurance explanation of benefits
• Superior Patient Customer service
• Working knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and CPT coding
• Preferred: Degree within Communications or Business Management
• A minimum of two to three (2-3) years Patient Billing Experience
