Responsibilities include leading all operational matters and day-to-day operations of the Port office.
Provide 24/7 on-call service to Principals ensuring safe and smooth turnaround of vessels.
Manage staff, provide clear objectives and constructive feedback to drive operational excellence.
Ensure high standard service delivery and share best practices with Port Managers.
Liaise with clients and port services daily and maintain data integrity for vessel files.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, security and environment (HSSE) risks.
Monitor costs and establish strong relationships with stakeholders.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Administration, Business Administration or recognized equivalent preferred; equivalent experience may substitute for educational requirements.
3-6 years experience in Port Agency (vessel operations) with exposure to various commodities and vessel types utilized in the port of assignment.
Experience working within complex international organizations.
Proven ability to manage projects effectively and achieving operational success.
Expertise in international, federal, state and/or local laws, rules and regulations for operations and security (USA & IMO).
Must have an advanced communication (verbal, written and listening) skills in order to communicate at different levels throughout the organization and with exterior organizations, etc..
