Role Overview
Coordinate or manage a team of engineers and scientists for delivery of technical design work
Responsible for producing and reviewing technical deliverables such as design reports, drawings, calculations, and scopes of work
Provide technical input into project design deliverables for coastal engineering
Work with the project management team to manage time and budgets
Collaborate with client, operational, and project teams
Provide mentorship to less experienced colleagues
Work independently with minimal technical guidance
Provide technical support for bid proposals
Requirements
A degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
Chartered or Incorporated Civil Engineer
Proven experience in coordinating or managing an engineering design delivery team for a design consultancy
Strong knowledge and practical experience in design such as breakwaters, sea walls, offshore structures, scour protection, access and accessibility, and construction logistics
Practical knowledge of current design codes and standards
Ability to work independently with minimal technical guidance
Proficiency in applicable analytical software and related tools such as wave modelling and wave overtopping
Experience in the Water market is essential, and experience in wider markets such as Energy or Defence is desirable
