Part of the delivery of a variety of projects drawing upon the wider team for technical engineering requirements.
Building strong relationships with clients and ensuring their expectations are met.
Technical Specification preparation including Design basis, feasibility report, technical reports etc.
Complete design calculations – LVAC & DC System Sizing, CT & VT adequacy checks, Cable Sizing etc.
Contribute to Tendering activities by supporting with preliminary design documentation & drawings, Bill of Quantities, Engineering Man Hour Estimates etc.
Providing support for bids, cost estimation, preparation of tender documents etc.
Mentoring other engineers and helping them become better engineers.
Requirements
Graduate/post-graduate degree in Electrical Engineering.
Around 5 to 10 years of experience in Design and engineering of HV substations up to 400kV or above.
Hands-on Experience in design substations, calculations, and FEED engineering.
Ability to complete design deliverables – as per the Client requirement.
Preference for candidates with experience with UK or USA Clients.
Ability to produce design documentation – Design Basis Report, Case Studies and Project Design Specification.
Competent to check design drawings & documents produced by other engineers.
Member of IET & working towards Chartered Engineer accreditation.
Desirable – Worked in projects for UK, USA and other international locations.
Strong English Communication Skills needed to coordinate with client and other internal stakeholders.
Knowledge in MS Office, AutoCAD 2D/3D, Grounding/earthing, ETAP, and Engineering calculations.
