Oversee accounting operations for LATAM entities in Brazil and Mexico, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and adherence to company policies.
Manage LATAM Accounts Payable processes, including invoice processing, approvals, and vendor relationships.
Act as the primary liaison between regional vendors and headquarters in New York.
Reconcile bank accounts and corporate credit cards.
Support payroll, taxes, and employee benefits administration with global and local providers.
Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Manage relationships with external accountants and service providers.
Serve as the regional expert on accounting, tax, and regulatory matters.
Coordinate audits and maintain financial records using NetSuite and other systems.
Assist with month-end close activities, reconciliations, and balance sheet reviews.
Partner with Finance and cross-functional teams on projects, process improvements, and system enhancements.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, and administration, preferably within a global or multinational organization.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Must be fluent in Portuguese and English.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration across teams.
