About this role
Role Overview
- Maintain uptime across multi-site Beaker environments; deploy and manage Lab Controllers (Python 3)
- Execute biweekly patching cycles; triage ServiceNow tickets and provide Slack-based support to QE teams
- Contribute to OpenShift migration of Beaker components; build and deploy containerized workloads with Podman
- Improve GitLab CI/CD pipelines; support the Python 2 → 3 migration
- Drive ESS V10 attestation across patching, hardening, authentication, encryption, and egress monitoring controls
- Maintain and extend Ansible playbooks for provisioning, patching, and configuration management
Requirements
- 5+ years Linux systems engineering with strong RHEL experience (7/8/9)
- Ansible — playbooks for provisioning, patching, and deployment automation
- Container operations with Podman — build, deploy, troubleshoot
- Python — comfortable reading and modifying Python codebases
- Networking fundamentals: DNS, DHCP, PXE/iPXE, TFTP, HTTP/S, SSL/TLS
- Multi-site data center operations experience
