Your job will include a broad range of responsibilities in a variety of different work settings such as chemical plant safety and environmental performance, process operation, optimization, modification, maintenance, and technology implementation.
Engineers must use sound technical judgment to enable safe and efficient plant operations.
You will fill one of several technical resource roles where you will provide technical support to plant operating personnel in order to maintain the safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
Key responsibilities may include such items as manufacturing process troubleshooting and problem solving, preventive maintenance, yield and process improvements, waste reduction, safety enhancements, process control, cost optimization, project management and implementation, equipment design, and new technology implementation.
Requirements
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical, Petroleum, Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental/Civil or Material Science/Metallurgical Engineering.
A minimum requirement for this Canada based position is the ability to work legally in Canada without Company Sponsorship.
Prefer students that have completed their 2nd, 3rd or 4th year of academic studies.
Active participation and leadership in extracurricular activities and on-campus organizations.
A preferred GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) or equivalent on a 100% scale at your current Canadian based university.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Outstanding work ethic and leadership potential.
Previous co-op experience is a plus.
Enrolled in an “Engineers Canada” accredited program.
