About this role
Role Overview
Provide first line response for users requiring assistance with IT issues
Respond to technical assistance requests via phone, email, and Help Desk management system
Track issues to resolution and update the internal knowledge base
Communicate findings with relevant business units
Escalate more involved problems to appropriate support teams
Act as a liaison between customers and technical escalation teams
Requirements
Familiarity with Windows Desktop and Server operating systems
Knowledge of Active Directory
Proficiency in Microsoft Lync and Exchange
Experience with Office applications
Understanding of VMWare and backup solutions
Knowledge of firewalls and network switching
Ability to handle remote monitoring and support tasks
Organizational and time management skills
Problem-solving abilities
Telephone confidence
Written and verbal communication skills
