Site Safety Manager

Role Overview

• Observes job performance and searches for any possible site hazards to ensure compliance
• Identifies conditions which could produce accidents
• Conducts post-accident investigations and makes recommendations
• Assists operation management on accident documentation
• Communicates with injured employees
• Assists in the development of Corporate Operating Procedures
• Conducts training on safety and new employee orientation
• Visits selected work sites to conduct audits
• Inspects vehicles and equipment for damage
• Assists in pre-job/shutdown planning
• Makes personal contact with working crews and addresses concerns
• Maintains SDS sheets
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 5 years of field safety experience (construction)
• Professional safety certification or associate's degree desired
• Highly Preferred Degreed Safety Professional with 12-15 years construction experience
• 10 Years full-time construction safety experience + OSHA 500 certification
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) with two years construction experience
• Safety Management Professional (SMP) + OSHA 500 Certification
• Candidate may be required to pass a Criminal background check based on job location/requirements.
