Occupational Therapist Assistant, Home Care

Role Overview

• Administers occupational therapy treatment according to the plan of care established by the Occupational Therapist
• Implements individualized treatment plans considering the patient's varied needs
• Monitors ongoing effectiveness of treatment and collaborates with the Occupational Therapist to modify the plan of care
• Documents according to standards set by the department and regulatory agencies
• Communicates pertinent patient information to ensure follow through of care
• Exhibits adaptability in caseload and scheduling
• Demonstrates supervision and delegation of personnel to ensure quality patient care
• Participates in department process improvements

Requirements

• Graduated from an Occupational Therapy Assistant program accredited by the AOTA, or equivalent
• Current Occupational Therapy Assistant license from the State of practice
• BLS certification required
• Clinical competency, experience, training and education necessary to perform the job
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at time of hire and maintain for duration of employment
