Assist in overseeing the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of internal controls.
Coordinate and support external audits and tax-related activities.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Monitor general ledger activity and account reconciliations.
Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and increased efficiency.
Support cash management and working capital initiatives.
Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff.
Collaborate with cross-functional departments to support business objectives.
Assist with ERP system enhancements and financial reporting tools.
Bring a comfort with technology to the role, recommending tools and improvements to the Chief Accounting Officer and helping implement them to streamline workflows.
Assist in creating and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) to document key accounting processes and promote consistency.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
CPA, CMA, or other higher education degree/designation is preferred.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
Public accounting experience is a plus.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Live in and around the Greater Austin area.
