About this role
Role Overview
Lead and manage the design, preconstruction, and construction activities on project(s)
Interact on a daily basis with Facilities, Contractors, Designers, Engineers, Commissioning Agents, Vendors, and Data Center Operations staff
Manage multiple projects on a campus(es) and maintain updated budgets, schedules, and status reports
Create and communicate updates on development program & project status
Present information to support efficient decision making
Work with QTS stakeholders, design, and construction teams to create a master development program
Manage entitlement and permitting needs for each assigned site project(s)
Implement and manage multi-phased site development plans
Write scopes of work for design, construction, commissioning services & participate in procurement and project cost estimates
Evaluate and level pricing proposals for services
Monitor & create project budget / cost-to-date against overall project budget
Establish project schedules and manage teams to on-time completion
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent professional experience
Five or more years of professional experience in commercial construction practices and procedures
Experience with Lump Sum, Construction Management @ Risk, and Design Build project delivery methods
Experience with Microsoft Office suite, specifically PowerPoint and Excel
Be able to travel up to 25% of the time
US Citizenship for this position is required by law due to federal customer contracts
MBA, Masters in Engineering, Management, or related field desirable (preferred)
Experience with delivery of mission critical data center facilities (preferred)
Extensive experience with management of MEP trades (preferred)
