About this role
Role Overview
Responsible to the assigned supervisor for performing complex engineering work activities and projects requiring the application of engineering knowledge in a safe, effective, efficient and economic accomplishment of assigned objectives.
Supporting the activities necessary to ensure compliance to applicable NERC and industry standards related to configuration changes to the transmission grid.
Providing engineering support to Transmission Field Services personnel in the final commissioning and verification of planned and unplanned work on the transmission grid.
Reviewing upcoming system outages for applicable configuration changes.
Performing Root Cause analysis on identified system of record discrepancies to identify process improvements opportunities and ensure accurate facility ratings and relay settings information.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering in a program accredited by ABET* along with 2 or more years of related engineering experience
Master's degree in engineering from an engineering program accredited by ABET* may be considered for entry into the organization at this level
Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology if they obtain a certified Professional Engineering (PE) license.
4 or more years of related engineering experience along with a Bachelor's degree in engineering in a program accredited by ABET*;
2 years of related engineering experience along with a Master's degree or PhD in engineering from a program accredited by ABET*;
Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in any U.S. state or Puerto Rico** is encouraged and preferred
