Operate and monitor batch workflows in Control‑M (Mainframe), ensuring SLA compliance
Respond quickly to abends/failures in the job stream: analysis, correction, release and reprocessing/restart
Perform quick inspections of programs to identify root cause and execution parameters
Implement changes to JCLs and COBOL/DB2 programs (steps, DDs, parameters, datasets, conditionals, return codes)
Adjust and validate SYSINs (cards/execution parameter files)
Make changes and perform analyses on COBOL programs and JCLs following the change control process (when applicable)

Strong experience with Control‑M on Mainframe (dependencies, rerun/restart, troubleshooting)
Proficiency in JCL and SYSIN
Experience analyzing failures and working in a TSO/ISPF environment
Practical knowledge of batch processing: return codes/steps, datasets (e.g., GDG/VSAM depending on client context)
Availability to work afternoon or overnight shifts and weekends (rotating schedule)
Maintenance and analysis in COBOL/DB2 (advantage)
Knowledge of Oracle databases (advantage)
Knowledge of utilities (e.g., SORT, IDCAMS) (advantage)
Experience with supporting tools (advantage)
Experience with change management tools (e.g., Changeman) (advantage)
Strong experience in online environments (advantage)
Proficiency in CICS and COBOL/DB2 (advantage)
