About this role
Role Overview
Ensure the in-scope, on-time, and on-budget delivery of suite of identification system solutions for State government customers in the United States
Work with stakeholders to define the project scope, objectives, and deliverables
Determine the resources (time, money, personnel) needed for the project and allocate them accordingly
Develop a detailed project timeline, including milestones and deadlines
Set-up the original budget for the project for each labour and expense category
Forecast the costs for each labour and expense category as the project unfolds
Monitor the project’s financial performance, ensuring that spending stays within the approved budget
Prepare financial reports to keep stakeholders informed about the project’s budget status
Create the Baseline schedule for the project aligned with the initial budget
Maintain and update the schedule by updating the actual and planned start and end dates of each activity, with a focus to ensure timely delivery
Report schedule progress, based on milestones relative to the baseline
Provide regular updates to stakeholders through meetings, emails, and reports
Gather feedback from stakeholders and incorporate it into the project plan as needed
Address any conflicts or issues that arise among stakeholders to keep the project on track
Identify potential risks that could impact the project’s success
Develop strategies to mitigate identified risks, such as contingency plans
Continuously monitor risks throughout the project and adjust plans as necessary
Assign tasks to team members based on their skills and expertise
Monitor the performance of team members to ensure tasks are completed on time and to the required standard
Provide support and guidance to team members, helping to resolve any issues that arise
Collect data on project performance, such as task completion rates and quality metrics
Analyze the data to identify trends and areas for improvement
Prepare detailed reports on project progress and present them to stakeholders
Various other duties and responsibilities.
Requirements
Legally eligible to work in the United States
Fluent in English (speak, read, write)
Ability to travel approx. 4-12 weeks/year
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (or similar) or Business or an equivalent combination of relevant education and additional years of work experience
Knowledge of the following: IT systems (infrastructure/applications and supporting technologies, methodologies, etc.)
Project planning, scheduling and resource allocation
Risk management and mitigation
Budgeting and financial management
Proficiency in Microsoft O365, Project, Jira
8+ years of experience managing complex, large scale IT projects
