Design, build and operate scalable, highly available Oracle technologies and PostgreSQL platforms for modern data and analytics use cases
Plan and execute complex database migrations, e.g., from on-premises to cloud (Azure, AWS, or GCP), between hyperscalers, or from legacy systems to PostgreSQL platforms
Automate the entire database lifecycle (IaC, GitOps, CI/CD) in the spirit of “Database as a Service”
Technical leadership role with a focus on observability, reliability, governance and best practices across teams

Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience
Several years of experience in PostgreSQL platform engineering, Oracle technologies and advanced database architectures
Strong understanding of query planner, indexing strategies, partitioning, replication and high‑availability setups
Strong skills in automation & Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Ansible) and experience with GitOps and CI/CD approaches for databases
Willingness to travel for projects and fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
