About this role
Role Overview
- Provide technically competent Loss Control Services in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Provide support services within the territory to help acquire and retain profitable business
- Conduct loss control services and training for customers to help reduce losses
- Maintain specialized state-of-the-art professional capabilities in loss control support for workers' compensation products
- Accomplish risk improvement by providing management consultation services
- Develop recommendations for hazard control
- Survey and service commercial risks of any size and/or complexity for workers' compensation coverage
- Meet or exceed all service standards
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 7 to 9 years of loss control experience working for a major writer of workers' compensation insurance is preferred
- Strong workers' compensation knowledge
- Ability to conduct training programs and classes for clients
- Basic knowledge of underwriting and product management skills
- Broad knowledge of commercial lines of insurance coverage, engineering principles, loss control concepts, and safety standards and codes
- Strong industry designations (e.g., Associate in Risk Management, Certified Engineering Technician, Certified Safety Professional) considered
- Extensive use of computers and software programs is required
