About this role
Role Overview
Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
Design, develop, test, and maintain complex software applications and system components.
Modify existing software to add new features, improve functionality, and correct defects.
Integrate software into new or existing systems and operating environments.
Develop and execute software tests to validate compliance with design requirements.
Troubleshoot and resolve software defects, performance issues, and operational problems.
Develop data queries for existing or proposed databases and data repositories.
Support system design activities, including hardware/software trade studies and architecture decisions.
Evaluate opportunities for software reuse and implementation of COTS/GOTS solutions.
Prepare, review, and maintain software and system documentation.
Provide recommendations for improving software development processes, standards, and documentation.
Serve as a technical lead consistent with the software development process used on the program.
Support requirements analysis and decomposition from system-level requirements to individual software components.
Develop software solutions supporting RF signal processing, exploitation, and analysis capabilities.
Requirements
Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph with this Customer.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
14+ years of experience as a Software Engineer supporting programs of similar scope, type, and complexity.
Four additional years of software engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
Experience developing software in Linux environments.
Experience programming in Python and C++.
Experience with software design, development, integration, testing, and sustainment activities.
Experience developing and supporting complex software systems and applications.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
