Role Overview
- Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
- Design, develop, test, and maintain complex software applications and system components.
- Modify existing software to add new features, improve functionality, and correct defects.
- Integrate software into new or existing systems and operating environments.
- Develop and execute software tests to validate compliance with design requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects, performance issues, and operational problems.
- Develop data queries for existing or proposed databases and data repositories.
- Support system design activities, including hardware/software trade studies and architecture decisions.
- Evaluate opportunities for software reuse and implementation of COTS/GOTS solutions.
- Prepare, review, and maintain software and system documentation.
- Provide recommendations for improving software development processes, standards, and documentation.
- Serve as a technical lead consistent with the software development process used on the program.
- Support requirements analysis and decomposition from system-level requirements to individual software components.
- Develop software solutions supporting RF signal processing, exploitation, and analysis capabilities.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph with this Customer.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
- 14+ years of experience as a Software Engineer supporting programs of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Four additional years of software engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
- Experience developing software in Linux environments.
- Experience programming in Python and C++.
- Experience with software design, development, integration, testing, and sustainment activities.
- Experience developing and supporting complex software systems and applications.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
