Improve and operationalize data governance across the organization
Develop and support the network of data stewards (training, coaching and the evolution of practices)
Act as a change agent to promote a data-driven culture and the development of related skills
Maintain and evolve the operating model as well as the frameworks, policies and standards for data governance
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements by steering governance initiatives aligned with legal obligations
Define, implement and maintain frameworks, processes and practices related notably to data quality and data definitions, in collaboration with key stakeholders (PRP, IT, CISO)
Structure and oversee data governance initiatives and projects at the organizational level
Define, monitor and communicate performance indicators to decision-making bodies
Support the CDAO and contribute to the preparation and facilitation of data governance committees
Mobilize the community of practice and provide leadership for the governance team (coordination, performance and development)
Monitor trends and best practices to evolve internal practices
Requirements
Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in data science, business intelligence or artificial intelligence (actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, computer science)
Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in data and analytics, including approximately five (5) years of experience in developing and operationalizing data governance programs, including change management aspects
Three (3) to five (5) years of team management experience
Experience in the insurance and/or financial services industry (knowledge of organizational data, typical processes and common quality issues)
Experience managing a multidisciplinary, cross-functional team or implementing and managing an organization-wide program
Experience in enterprise master data governance and management, particularly coordinating stakeholders such as business partners, functions involved in data governance and the stewardship network and its bodies
Demonstrated expertise in data management (protection and value creation), including data integrity, regulatory compliance, information security, risk management and data lifecycle management
Advanced proficiency in French, both oral and written, and intermediate proficiency in English, both oral and written
