Performs daily procurement activity (placing PO’s and maintain PO documentation) by sourcing suppliers for products or services and performing appropriate analysis to meet desired cost and schedule requirements in support of manufacturing and program activities.
Addresses quality concerns in collaboration with Quality Assurance, Program Engineering and/or Operations Engineering.
Develops and enhances relationships with strategic supplier/partners; serves as the primary contact with suppliers, supporting the initial qualification and fostering a positive and mutually beneficial relationship with suppliers and their management.
Ensure FAR/DFAR requirements are flown down to suppliers and complied with.
Coordinates quality issues with suppliers as required and manages supplier returns.
Reviews open invoices and ensure timely three-way match requirements to keep suppliers current.
Prepare request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages.
Briefs management on the status and issues affecting program cost and schedule performance.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant procurement experience.
Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related procurement experience.
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related procurement experience.
4 years of experience/knowledge of working under ISO/AS9100 guidelines.
