Provide technical support for operations, maintenance, and project activities for motors across multiple geographic regions
Manage work in engineering areas of specialization, with minimal supervision
Identify problems, develop solutions, and take action to resolve
Produce technical documentation (standards, guidelines, procedures) in support of design, operations, and maintenance of RRE's motor assets
Engage with external service providers to provide guidance on repair and replacement activities, ensuring Duke Energy standards are consistently applied
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
6 years work experience
Proficient in practices of researching design issues, evaluating alternatives, making sound recommendations, and preparing and presenting recommendations
Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in engineering theories and principles
Proficient in principles of project management
Registered Professional Engineer (PE)
Experience in the utility industry
Experience with motors: Analysis of on-line and off-line electrical test results (e.g. insulation resistance, motor current signature analysis)
