Role Overview
- Lead the technical direction of a high impact AI engineering team
- Design and deliver cloud native, container first services
- Partner closely with architects and key stakeholders
- Write high-quality Python code and define engineering standards
- Drive good engineering practices across code quality, CI/CD, containerisation
- Mentor and coach engineers through reviews and technical feedback
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software engineering background
- Proven technical leadership in a delivery team
- Strong Python engineering skills (OOP design, typing, asynchronous programming)
- Experience designing and building REST APIs and service integrations
- Cloud experience with hands-on delivery on at least one hyperscaler (Azure preferred)
- Container experience, including running and troubleshooting containerised services
- Kubernetes experience highly preferred
- Experience with modern DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Solid understanding of security fundamentals for modern services
- Comfortable working in Agile environments
