Lead the annual budgeting process, quarterly forecasts, and multi-year financial planning, partnering with business leaders across the organization
Develop, maintain, and enhance financial models to support forecasting, performance tracking, and scenario analysis across cost centers and business segments
Analyze revenue trends, margins, partner performance, and operational efficiency to provide actionable insights that inform business decisions
Track and evaluate key performance metrics, including gross written premium (GWP), net revenue, commission income, and customer acquisition costs
Evaluate the financial impact of new distribution agreements, fee structures, and carrier relationships on overall profitability and P&L performance
Support strategic initiatives through financial modeling and analysis, including pricing strategies, partner negotiations, M&A, and capital allocation
Establish, document, and continuously improve processes, procedures, and internal controls
Partner with systems, operations, and data teams to improve data quality, streamline reporting processes, and enhance automation capabilities
Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency, scalability, and accuracy through process and system enhancements
Leverage AI and advanced tools to streamline financial planning and reporting, enabling a stronger focus on insightful analysis and strategic decision-making
Deliver monthly and quarterly management reporting, including dashboards, KPIs, and variance analyses across business units and partner channels
Prepare and contribute to board-level reporting and investor updates, supporting strategic growth narratives with robust financial data
Provide clear, data-driven insights to leadership on financial performance, risks, and opportunities
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between financial planning, operational execution, and strategic objectives
Participate in special projects and ad hoc analyses as needed to support business priorities
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
6+ years of FP&A experience, corporate finance, or strategic finance
Knowledge of the economics of MGA/broker-driven insurance models (understanding of GWP, net commissions, contingency income, etc.)
Strong understanding of financial close processes, reconciliations, and internal controls
Experience with accounting systems and financial technology
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Strong operational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and deadlines
Demonstrated effective communicator and cross-functional collaboration skills
Demonstrated ability to influence outcomes and drive process improvements without direct authority
Openness to adopting innovative technologies, including AI, to drive efficiency and accuracy in building a best-in-class FP&A foundation for Players Health.
