Role Overview
- Support electromagnetic compatibility design and analysis at unit and system levels
- Interface with technical disciplines to trade EMI/EMC against factors like cost, weight, and risk
- Derive EMC requirements and verification plans based on tailored MIL-STD-461
- Write EMC test plans and provide oversight of EMC testing
- Communicate EMC results to program office and customer representatives
Requirements
- Active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications
- 8 or more years of experience with Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC)/Electromagnetic Interference (EMI)
- 3 or more years in a lead EMC engineering role for aerospace systems
- Experience with MIL-STD-461
- Familiarity with software tools like MatLab, MathCAD, PSPICE, ANSYS HFSS, and Maxwell
- Experience operating electrical test equipment including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, EMI receivers, etc.
