Work as SPOC (Single Point of Contact) for data to the Analytical Use Cases and Reporting teams, translating their needs into clear data, data management, quality and governance requirements.
Bring data management capabilities into use cases and reporting, including: Data asset/data capability management (cataloguing, role assignment, ensuring data availability)
Data quality measures (define, test, and implement quality rules; support root-cause analysis using Python/SQL)
Data compliance (govern access and usage based on security classification, data protection, and retention)
Data Availability
Data discovery and requirements engineering: identify relevant data sources (e.g., SAP (incl. SAP S/4) and cloud data lake assets), clarify ownership and intended usage, and define the key tables/columns needed for consistent reporting and faster analytics delivery.
Provide test data and ensure data being integrated by the platform teams.
Expand and maintain the common data dictionary (in our Data Catalog) together with the use case/ reporting team and business stakeholders; ensure naming, meaning, lineage context, and usage rules are understood and applied consistently.
Classify key and critical data entities (criticality, security classification, sensitivity) and align governance decisions with data protection and data retention requirements.
Collaborate across ALDI Organisation (e.g. IPOs and country teams) on data-related topics, preparing and participating in the data community.
Requirements
Several years of practical experience in data stewardship / data architecture / data management / data governance, ideally combined with business or data analyst experience (e.g., 5+ years).

Intercultural competence and experience collaborating with multiple teams.
Academic degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or an equivalent qualification/training.
