Payroll Compliance Analyst II

Role Overview

• Manages the calculation, analysis, and reporting of payroll, union benefits, and prevailing wage activities.
• Interprets and applies collective bargaining agreements and prevailing wage requirements.
• Performs audits and reconciliations of payroll data and deductions.
• Resolves discrepancies related to wage rates, classifications, and benefits.
• Oversees preparation and submission of required reporting.
• Supports audit readiness through thorough documentation.
• Collaborates closely with HR, Finance, HRIS, payroll teams, field leadership, and external partners.

Requirements

• Understanding of contract language and interpretation.
• Experience in payroll processing, preferably with exposure to prevailing wage, government or union contracts.
• Experience with payroll software (e.g., Workday).
• Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
• Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to handle large datasets and identify discrepancies.
• Strong organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Problem solving skills and the ability to work independently with little supervision.
• Advance level of Excel with emphasis on pivot tables, v/x look up, data queries.
