Work within a team of high performing electrical engineers to provide electrical engineering development and design solutions across a range of multi-disciplinary projects and pursuits
Lead, manage or undertake design development for engineering projects and packages, which will grow in size and complexity as your career develops
Provide specialist technical input to a diverse range of projects in line with Mott MacDonald quality system and client requirements
Foster and evolve client relationships through successful project delivery
Lead pursuits and proposals
Mentor, supervise and coordinate junior to mid-level engineers
Have the flexibility to actively participate in various other industries and to build on your experience on a variety of projects including transmission and/or distribution, complex infrastructure (roads, rail, electrification), mining, defence, or water
Proactively participate in existing and future projects aimed at de-carbonisation
Be a contributing Owner’s Engineer, Independent Certifier or Lender’s Technical Advisor
Be part of the team to pursue, develop and deliver present and future planned Transmission, Distribution and BOP projects
As a technical leader proactively maintain effective networks and relevant industry relationships to meet business and client outcomes
Establishes project scope, time and cost and coaches’ others in managing competing demands with day to day work
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree (Electrical or Electronic Engineering) or Equivalent
Chartered Professional Engineer
RPEV registration will be seen as favourable
Typically, 8-10 yrs post-graduate experience
Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a consultancy environment (preferable)
Experience in EHV, HV and LV electrical engineering from conceptual to detailed design in Networks (primarily the NEM) renewable power, traction power, water/wastewater and other industries
Experience in testing, commissioning, FAT witnessing, equipment failure investigation desired
Experience in delivering D&C Infrastructure projects is a must
Experience in client-facing roles, ability to provide robust advice and support design projects through clear communication of project status, issues and risks
Proficient in proposal and report writing
Proficient in design management preferable
Experience working on live projects across critical interfaces and work packages (desirable)
