Build effective working relationships with colleagues across Cell Press and beyond
Requirements
A PhD in a life science discipline, particularly Microbiology, is required; postdoctoral research experience would be a strong advantage
Experience with data analysis or statistical approaches is advantageous
We are open to hiring at the Scientific editor levels for candidates with appropriate editorial experience of 2+ years
Interest in developing editorial expertise and understanding interdisciplinary research areas, and the ability to think critically about a broad range of scientific topics
Clear communication skills, both written and verbal, in English
Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks
Curiosity, creativity, and a desire to continuously improve ways of working
The ability to work well in a team that is spread across geography, time zones, and a willingness to travel
