Compliance Manager

Role Overview

• Oversee the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of compliance policies, procedures, and controls
• Ensure policies align with international container shipping standards
• Track and interpret regulatory changes worldwide
• Manage the level 1 sanctions screening analysts and review level 2 escalations
• Collaborate with business units to embed robust screening processes
• Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of existing compliance programs
• Assist with inquiries into potential non-compliance incidents
• Design and deliver targeted training modules for employees

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Business Administration, Accountancy or Information Technology or equivalent field
• Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in a compliance role within a multinational corporation, preferably in the container shipping or related industry
• Upholds ethical standards and adapts to evolving regulatory landscapes
• Excels in cross-functional settings, fostering a cooperative environment with internal and external stakeholders
• Demonstrates initiative, accountability, ownership and the ability to mentor junior team members and influence broader corporate behavior.
