Financing Technician, Financial Information

Role Overview

• Preparation and analysis of financial information.
• Assist in preparing consolidated financial statements on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
• Post adjusting journal entries, including complex transactions.
• Perform account reconciliations and analyses.
• Explain variances and ensure the quality of financial data.
• Reconcile differences between financial and accounting systems.
• Perform checks and controls of accounting reports (general ledger, trial balance, etc.).
• Prepare documentation required for annual audits.
• Contribute to compliance with tax and legal obligations.
• Participate in tax management.

Requirements

• College diploma (DEC) in Administrative Techniques, accounting or finance option.
• 8 years of professional accounting experience.
• Advanced Excel (required).
• Knowledge of Caseware/CaseView (major asset).
