Manages employees and first-level managers that develop projects and program plans at all levels across functional areas and executes all project phases to achieve objectives within scope, time, quality, and constraints from initiation to post completion
Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives
Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
Manages, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers
Requirements
10+ years performing in a leadership role
5+ years of experience in NASA Space programs or a related Space or Defense program
5+ years of experience leading projects that require integration across business units and/or multiple functions
5+ years of experience working with Earn Value Management (EVM)
Strong communication, problem solving and analytical skills
Experience in preparing and presenting executive level briefings
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.)
