About this role
Role Overview
Work closely with Sales during customer meetings to present and promote our energy stability and grid utilities solutions.
Review and interpret customer specifications to propose the best solution based on our portfolio of structured solutions and products, as far as possible, for front‑end projects and new equipment services.
Prepare clear and concise technical proposals, including any deviations from customer requirements.
Travel within France and worldwide, for short periods, to visit customers during tenders or in pre‑sales, to understand and analyze their needs and present our solutions.
Lead technical negotiation meetings with customers.
Prepare cost breakdowns for proposed solutions with the support of key contributors such as Purchasing and Engineering.
Optimize costs by challenging contributors (technically and financially) and refining solutions.
Adhere to tender deadlines as much as possible.
Provide technical expertise and support to Sales Directors and commercial operations teams by selecting, implementing and developing competitive solutions.
Identify technical risks and work with Engineering to mitigate them in accordance with GE procedures.
Proactively stay informed of market trends and requirements and act as the "voice of the customer" to strategically influence GE's product/system development needs.
Requirements
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering / Power Electronics (engineering school or equivalent) with at least 5–10 years' experience in electrical/power electronics.
Strong knowledge of high‑voltage grid stabilization applications for TSOs/DSOs (synchronous compensator–type systems, STATCOMs or BESS‑based hybrid systems).
Ability to work independently in a matrix organization.
Good organizational, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to work concurrently on multiple topics and/or different bids.
Willingness to travel within the SEMEA region as required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Fluent English is mandatory.
