Monitor the Ochsner computer network environment for potential security threats.
Work with and learn from experienced security team leaders.
Use the latest technology to detect, analyze and limit intrusions and security events.
Perform network security monitoring and incident response.
Maintain records of security monitoring and incident response activities.
Monitor and analyze Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM).
Facilitate the day-to-day operation of the infrastructure and maintain proper levels of system and data availability.
Provide installation and support of the technology infrastructure.

High School diploma or equivalent
Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cyber security, or related field (preferred)
SANS GIAC / ISC2 CISSIP or other advanced security certifications (preferred)
0-2 years IT experience with Bachelor’s degree OR 2-4 years IT experience with Associate’s degree OR relevant experience
2 years of experience related to IS Security/ Cyber security (preferred)
Fundamental understanding of computer networking (TCP/IP)
Security-relevant knowledge and experience (security operations, security configuration and deployment models, threat detection / response, incident detection / response, investigations, forensics)
Knowledge of Windows, Linux, and mobile operating systems
Experience with regulations and frameworks
e.g., HIPAA, PCI, NIST
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Analytical skills and logical thought processes
Ability to work under stressful situations
