Provide timely consultation services to physicians, nurses, pharmacy staff, and other members of the organization.
Deliver up-to-date drug information on new approved therapies in the oncology space as well as other biologic therapies.
Apply current pharmacological and biopharmaceutical principles for the selection and use of drug products in a clinical setting to meet the therapeutic needs of a patient.
Provide senior clinical support and education to other members of the department in correlation with operational projects and objectives.
Review drug utilization reports alongside other corresponding data to identify areas of need or improvement as it applies to appropriate usage and best health outcomes.
Develop action plans to address issues of under/over utilization according to approved indications, NCCN Guidelines, formulary, etc.
Develop metrics related to pharmacy data, clinical data, cost data, and functional data that can be applied to improve clinical outcomes, cost control, and overall system usage.
Assess changes or need to make changes to improve care of oncology patients or for a topic for advancing the pharmacy profession or oncology pharmacy.
Requirements
College degree in pharmacy required, PharmD preferred.
