About this role
Role Overview
Leading, coaching and developing a high-performing Collections team
Driving team performance, maximising recoveries and minimising losses
Setting clear expectations and holding the team accountable to agreed standards, KPIs and behaviours
Working with the Head of Collections and Collections & Recoveries Manager to implement strategies aligned to business goals
Acting as the first point of contact for team escalations, complex matters and business queries
Identifying capability gaps and delivering practical training, coaching and support
Conducting regular QA, account and activity reviews to ensure quality, compliance and consistency
Using data, reporting and performance insights to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities
Supporting change, transformation and continuous improvement across Collections
Building a team culture focused on performance, accountability, quality and development
Requirements
Proven experience leading and developing high-performing teams
A strong track record in collections performance, in financial services, asset finance or a similar environment is ideal
Confidence managing performance, giving feedback and lifting team capability
Strong communication, coaching and stakeholder management skills
The ability to use data and insights to make sound decisions and improve outcomes
Experience supporting change, growth, transformation or process improvement
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage escalations calmly and commercially
Adaptability in a fast-paced, agile and performance-focused environment
A practical, hands-on leadership style with high standards and strong follow-through
