Role Overview
- Monitor and manage contractor programmes in line with overall project delivery timelines
- Oversee the construction and commissioning of overhead line projects
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, CDM regulations, and environmental standards
- Drive quality and environmental performance, ensuring mitigation measures are implemented and monitored
- Support the delivery of works across distribution and transmission networks
Requirements
- Experience working on overhead line or transmission projects, ideally within utilities or infrastructure
- Exposure to projects across distribution and/or transmission networks (11kV – 400kV)
- Experience on higher voltage works (132kV, 275kV or 400kV) would be advantageous, but not essential
- A good understanding of overhead line construction, maintenance or commissioning activities (e.g. foundations, pole/tower erection, stringing or reconductoring)
- Experience working within a DNO, utilities, or infrastructure environment
- Knowledge of CDM regulations, site safety and temporary works
- Experience reviewing, approving or working with RAMS and permit systems
- Qualifications / certifications (or working towards): SMSTS CSCS Card First Aid
- We’re also keen to hear from Experienced transmission & distribution linesmen/women looking to transition into site management.
- Candidates with strong practical overhead line experience and a solid understanding of industry delivery.
