Lead data engineering and analytics projects within the Palantir Foundry platform
Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines in Foundry’s Pipeline Builder and Code Repositories
Connect and sync external source systems into Foundry using Data Connection
Design and extend object types, properties, and links in Ontology Manager
Enforce automation, version control, orchestration, and health monitoring via Data Lineage
Define and enforce data architecture standards for distributed environments
Build scalable, rule-based methods in Foundry to assess data quality
Leverage Data Lineage to trace dataset provenance
Tune pipeline schedules, workloads, and resource allocation
Work directly with analysts, product leads, and mission stakeholders
Mentor junior engineers and establish Foundry engineering standards for naming, object design, testing, and change management
Requirements
4+ years of experience in data engineering, platform engineering, or analytics engineering
Hands-on experience building and maintaining production-grade pipelines, data connections, and ontologies in Palantir Foundry (Pipeline Builder, Code Repositories, Ontology Manager, Data Lineage, Workshop)
Strong proficiency in Python and SQL; comfort with TypeScript/JavaScript
Traditional data lakehouse experience (Databricks, Snowflake, dbt)
Familiarity with Foundry Data Connection architecture — setting up sources and syncs from external systems
Proven delivery in DoD or federal environments
Familiarity with Navy, DON, or DoD logistics, financial, or personnel data landscapes
Strong communication skills; able to work across technical and non-technical stakeholders
Palantir Foundry Data Engineer or Application Developer certification preferred
Eligibility to obtain US Government Security Clearance
