Role Overview
Assist with quality controlling work across Business Intelligence, even where it falls outside of their core regional focus.
Lead by example, readily offering help where required, providing support and encouragement to the team and contributing to an inclusive, transparent and cohesive working culture.
Actively involved in on-the-job training for junior team members, supporting development and knowledge building in areas pertinent to both their jurisdiction and practice area as well as the wider business.
Build personal relationships with contact points at client organizations.
Lead client communications for all projects acting as the key point of contact and ensuring all questions are answered promptly and in full.
Responsible for quality controlling all client deliverables ensuring that each project – and any related updates and calls – are of the highest quality.
Demonstrate a nuanced understanding of our clients and the industries they operate in, using expertise to manage challenges and limitations as well as capitalize on the opportunities of a client request.
Manage difficult conversations with clients, handling issues, challenges and pushback in a timely fashion and with an appropriate tone to manage critical feedback while maintaining strong client relationships.
Identify new opportunities to grow existing clients by capturing additional Business Intelligence revenue and cross selling wider Anthesis ESG service lines.
Attend conferences, webinars and networking events to grow the Anthesis brand locally.
Produce content in the form of articles, media appearances and speaking roles to drive our market presence in Hong Kong.
Oversee the Hong Kong team, ensuring that work is effectively managed and maintaining regular communication with juniors to ensure their research is on track and in line with client requirements.
Mentor and support the team upskilling them in research, project management and communications – including mid-level colleagues who themselves will be taking on more training and management responsibilities.
Take on formal line management responsibility for certain members of the Hong Kong team, supporting their career development and progress.
Work with enabling functions where necessary to ensure the smooth running of the office, and assist with related HR and other back office needs where required.
Requirements
8-10 years+ working in Business Intelligence in Asia Pacific at a reputable Chambers-ranked peer firm – preference to candidates already based in Hong Kong, though consideration will be given to those in other regional business hubs and/or internationally (e.g. London) but whose primary focus is Asia.
Fluency or advanced language skills in at least one regional language – with a preference for Chinese, though other relevant languages will be considered.
Demonstrable track record leading and building Business Intelligence practices in Asia – including, but not limited to, business development, senior client account management, training, hiring and people management.
Expressed interest in Anthesis’ wider ESG service lines – note it is not a requirement to have pre-existing knowledge of these service lines, but the candidate must show an interest in learning about and ultimately selling services from across the business.
Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively with a global team, across hybrid settings and timezones.
