About this role
Role Overview
Support an Intelance led independent technology audit.
Review the systems used for demand forecasting, replenishment, allocation and supplier ordering.
Assess whether the business can get the right stock into the right store or channel at the right time.
Review stock visibility across stores, ecommerce, app, warehouse and supplier channels.
Assess WMS, OMS, ERP and supply chain planning system links.
Review how promotions, seasonality, substitutions, local demand and range changes are handled.
Assess product, supplier, location and inventory master data quality.
Identify where weak systems or poor data may be affecting stock availability, working capital, sales, margin or store operations.
Review exception workflows, manual workarounds, spreadsheets and business adoption.
Help judge what should be kept, fixed, bought, replaced, retired or simplified.
Work with specialists across enterprise architecture, engineering, data, cyber, finance systems and technology cost.
Turn supply chain technology findings into clear, plain-English messages for senior leaders.
Support the creation of a supply chain technology diagnostic, heatmap, roadmap and Board ready report.
Requirements
Experience in retail supply chain systems, supply chain technology, retail planning, replenishment, WMS, OMS, ERP or inventory systems.
Strong understanding of forecasting, replenishment, allocation, stock availability and supplier ordering.
Experience working with store and ecommerce fulfilment models.
Good understanding of how WMS, OMS, ERP, ecommerce, POS and planning systems connect.
Ability to identify where poor data, weak integration or manual workarounds are affecting business performance.
Ability to review system capability without turning the work into a full system selection or implementation project.
Strong commercial judgement.
You must be able to link technology issues to sales, margin, stock availability, working capital, cost and customer experience.
Ability to explain supply chain technology issues in simple language to senior non-technical leaders.
Availability to support proposal activity immediately, with potential delivery work over an eight-week audit period.
