Efficient management of multiple pre-litigation issues, foreclosure actions, bankruptcy, evictions, excess proceeds, and other litigation matters as assigned.
Timely preparation of high quality letters, emails, foreclosure documents, pleadings, motions, discovery, disclosure, and appellate briefs as assigned.
Reviews, audits, and edits legal work product of department staff.
Provides guidance, feedback, and approval on legal work product to non-attorney staff and as requested.
Maintains a high level of ethical standards concerning case load.
Attend court hearings, mediations, trials, and oral arguments as required.
Initial intake and preparation of strategy analysis of new cases assigned.
Research applicable to assigned cases.
Accurate recording of billable work performed.
Provides excellent customer service to clients.
Assist with other tasks as assigned by Managing Attorney.
Requirements
Juris Doctorate
Texas State Bar license in good standing
5+ years of legal practice experience
Experience with bankruptcy matters as they relate to default/servicing
Experience handling foreclosure proceedings
Relevant technology competencies such as Westlaw and time-billing software.
