Manages the day-to-day operations of Medical Affairs
Provides oversight for all aspects of credentialing for physicians and Allied Health Professionals including insurance credentialing
Provides oversight of medical staff department meetings; flow of information from medical staff departments and committees through the Medical Executive Committee and the Board of Directors, including oversight of peer review processes and practitioner corrective action proceedings, including data reports to support the evaluation of current competency and quality of patient care
Serves as a resource for the evaluation of current competency and quality of patient care
Serves as a resource for physician leaders in area of policy development, fair hearing process, and bylaws and rules/regulations interpretation
Provide review of standards provided by regulatory and accrediting agencies and developing action plans to achieve compliance
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree Field OF Study: Health Care Administration, Public Health, or related field
Word processing (minimum of 60 wpm) and strong computer skills
More than 3 years required, 5 preferred
Training Preferred: Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM), Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS), or Certified Professional Healthcare Quality (CPHQ)
