Lead statutory financial reporting across EMEA entities, ensuring timely and accurate preparation and filing of local financial statements.
Coordinate regional tax compliance in partnership with external advisors, ensuring timely submission of corporate tax, VAT, and other statutory returns.
Provide technical accounting mentorship on complex transactions, ensuring compliance with IFRS and local GAAP requirements.
Review and assess the accounting treatment of new or unusual transactions, detailing technical position papers where required.
Partner with Regional Controllers to ensure alignment between group reporting and local statutory requirements.
Manage and coordinate external audits across the region, acting as the primary point of contact for auditors.
Ensure strong governance and compliance with internal control frameworks and corporate policies.
Monitor changes in accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements across EMEA, assessing business impact.
Foster consistency and continual advancement in statutory reporting and compliance workflows.
Coordinate balance sheet integrity and ensure appropriate provisions, accruals, and disclosures are recorded.
Support legal entity rationalisation, restructuring activities, and new entity set-ups within the region.
Provide leadership and mentorship to local finance teams on statutory and technical matters.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience; professional qualification (ACCA, ACA, CPA or equivalent) strongly preferred.
More than 5 years of established experience handling statutory reporting and tax compliance across a global organization.
Strong technical accounting expertise with experience in IFRS and/or US GAAP.
Experience coordinating and managing external audits.
Strong understanding of internal controls and corporate governance frameworks.
Excellent analytical, documentation, and collaborator management skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical matters clearly.
